3.3 Phase Extension: fs2d

This performs the iterative projections onto sets for a single set of starting phases.  It is the final step for creating images or listings of hkl, F and phase values (note that the solutions file output by genal.shell2D.sh contains the best starting values).  Alternatively, it can be run as a simple phase extension if you already know a reasonable number of phases (e.g. from an image) and just want to extend to higher resolution. Note: it requires a file called name.ext (not name.hkl, but having the same format) as input with some phases given. The shell code fs2d.sh run as

fs2d.sh name num

will produce solutions 1-num and output them as images.   The output is both in the form of Semper-readable images (if SEMP is set, the Ient* files, where *=1...num) and as gif files (Ient*.gif,  *=1...num). For the case when you only want to do phase extension with values that you already know, use the command:

fs2D name
